Spanish (US) proofreaders/translators to work in San Francisco

Responsibilities:
• Conduct linguistic reviews of translated materials by our LSPs
• Undertake translations, edits and small changes from English into Spanish of short documents (up to one page)
• Provide support in the area of TM maintenance
• Undertake back translation from Spanish into English
• Provide some back up for translation job traffic manager (Sharepoint)
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience as a translator/Proofreader
• 2-3 years of experience translating for the financial industry
• Native or native-level fluency in Spanish (for the US market) and English required
• Academic: undergraduate in linguistics or translation is preferred. If the applicant is a Spanish native speaker, an undergraduate degree in translation, linguistics or journalism from a accredited Latin American University is desired.
• Hands-on expertise on Translation Memory Tools: Trados and SDLX preferred; SDL TMS desired.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, HTML, Acrobat and common content tools .
Excellent spoken and written language skills, attention to detail, flexibility and technical knowledge (both English and native language).
